Oral diabetes medicines and insulins stocked at PCTMart
Diabetes care at PCTMart covers oral glucose-lowering medicines and injectable insulins. On the oral side, metformin is the backbone and appears both alone and in a wide range of fixed-dose combinations at 500MG and 1000MG. Sulfonylureas include glimepiride, gliclazide and glipizide. The newer classes are well represented: SGLT2 inhibitors such as dapagliflozin, empagliflozin and canagliflozin, and DPP-4 inhibitors including sitagliptin, vildagliptin and teneligliptin. Acarbose, pioglitazone and voglibose are also stocked.
Metformin combinations and how they are written
Combinations dominate this category. Dapagliflozin with metformin, glimepiride with metformin, gliclazide with metformin and three-way combinations all appear, written as pairs such as 2/500MG, 50/500MG or 5/1000. The first figure is the newer agent and the second is almost always metformin. Reading only the brand name will not tell you which combination you are holding.
Insulin concentrations, presentations and devices
Insulins are stocked in 40IU and 100IU concentrations across rapid-acting, intermediate and premixed presentations, including 30/70 and 25/75 mixes, in vials, cartridges and pens such as Actrapid and Flexpen. Insulins are not interchangeable between types, brands or concentrations at the same number of units, and a 40IU vial and a 100IU vial are meaningfully different products. Match the presentation on the page to the one you already use.
Cold chain, consumables and compatibility
Insulin and some other items in this range need refrigeration and are stored as directed on the pack. Test strips, meters and related consumables are matched to specific devices, so check compatibility before ordering. Any change to your regimen, including moving between brands of the same insulin, is a decision for your diabetes team rather than one to make on price. Everything here ships from India through licensed distributors and carries at least twelve months of shelf life when it leaves us.
Reordering and international transit
Ordering ahead matters more here than in most categories. Running out of an oral agent for a few days is disruptive; running out of insulin is dangerous. Allow for international transit time from India when you reorder, and keep enough in hand to cover a delayed delivery rather than ordering on the last pen.
