About angiotensin receptor blockers

Angiotensin receptor blockers, or sartans, work on the same system as ACE inhibitors but rarely cause the cough. Telmisartan is sold here as Telma and Telmikind, losartan as Cozartan and Cosart, olmesartan as Olmezest, and valsartan as Diovan and Valzaar.

Several of these brands also come combined with a diuretic or a calcium channel blocker; those are listed under combination blood pressure tablets. Sartans are not used in pregnancy.
