About antibiotic eye drops

Ciprofloxacin and ofloxacin drops, sold here as Ciplox, Oflox and Zoxan, treat bacterial conjunctivitis and some ear infections. A sticky yellow or green discharge usually points to a bacterial infection; red, watery eyes are more often viral or allergic and will not respond to antibiotics.

Pain, changes in vision or sensitivity to light need an eye doctor straight away. Do not wear contact lenses while using the drops.
