About metronidazole and tinidazole
These antibiotics treat infections caused by bacteria that live without oxygen, such as dental and gut infections and bacterial vaginosis, and by parasites such as giardia and trichomonas. Metronidazole is sold here as Flagyl and Metrogyl, and tinidazole as Tinvista.
Do not drink alcohol while taking them or for a few days afterwards, as the combination causes sickness and flushing.
