SSRIs, SNRIs and other antidepressants available at PCTMart

The antidepressants at PCTMart fall into several groups that work in different ways. The SSRIs are the largest: escitalopram, sertraline, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, citalopram and paroxetine, generally stocked from 5MG to 100MG depending on the molecule. The SNRIs, duloxetine and venlafaxine, are carried alongside them. Older tricyclics such as amitriptyline, imipramine, clomipramine and nortriptyline remain in the range, as do mirtazapine, bupropion and trazodone, each of which has a different side-effect profile. The category also holds mood stabilisers and related medicines including lithium carbonate, lamotrigine, carbamazepine, aripiprazole and atomoxetine.

Strengths are not comparable between molecules

Strengths matter here more than in most categories, because the useful range for one molecule says nothing about another. Escitalopram is commonly stocked at 5MG, 10MG and 20MG, sertraline at 25MG, 50MG and 100MG, and mirtazapine at 7.5MG, 15MG and 30MG. Combination products exist too, such as escitalopram with etizolam, where each component has its own strength printed on the pack.

Onset, dose changes and stopping safely

These medicines are generally slow to show their full effect, often taking several weeks, which is why changes are made gradually rather than day to day. Most should not be stopped abruptly: discontinuation effects are well documented for the SSRIs and SNRIs in particular, and a planned reduction avoids them. Switching between molecules is not a like-for-like swap at equivalent numbers.

Finding your molecule, and how we ship

If you already know which molecule you take, the active ingredient filter will list every brand of it we hold, which is useful when a familiar brand is unavailable but the same molecule is stocked under another name. Dose, timing and any change to your regimen belong with the doctor managing your treatment. Everything in this category ships from India, is sourced through licensed distributors, and leaves us with at least twelve months of shelf life remaining.

Storing tablets and dispersible forms

Storage is straightforward for most of this category (a dry place below 25°C, away from bathrooms), but orally disintegrating forms are moisture-sensitive and should stay sealed in their blister until the moment they are taken.
