Antiviral medicines stocked at PCTMart
Antivirals act on specific viruses, and this category divides fairly neatly by target. For herpes simplex and zoster there is aciclovir, stocked at 200MG, 400MG and 800MG tablets and dispersible tablets, plus creams and eye ointments in 5GM tubes under brands including Acivir, Zovirax, Ocuvir and Zoster. For influenza there is oseltamivir at 30MG, 45MG and 75MG. For hepatitis C the direct-acting agents sofosbuvir, daclatasvir and the sofosbuvir-velpatasvir combination are carried, typically at 400MG and 60MG.
Antiretroviral combinations and the tenofovir salts
The HIV antiretrovirals form the largest group and are almost all combinations. Tenofovir appears as both disoproxil fumarate and alafenamide, two different salts with very different strengths, 300MG and 25MG respectively, which are not interchangeable despite sharing a name. It is paired with lamivudine or emtricitabine, and three-drug combinations with zidovudine, efavirenz or dolutegravir are stocked. Lopinavir with ritonavir is also carried.
Why timing and continuity both matter
Timing is a recurring theme here. Aciclovir and oseltamivir both work best when started early in an episode, within the first day or two, which is why people who get recurrent episodes often keep a course on hand. The chronic-infection treatments work the other way: they depend on uninterrupted daily dosing, and gaps allow resistance to develop. If you are on long-term therapy, order well before you run out and allow for international transit time from India.
Monitoring, listings and sourcing
Several of these affect kidney function or interact with other medicines, and treatment for hepatitis and HIV is monitored with regular blood tests. Your doctor should guide which combination is right and review those results. Each listing shows the exact molecule, salt, strength and pack size, and the guaranteed minimum expiry date is displayed before you add anything to the basket. Stock is sourced through licensed distributors.
Creams and eye ointments
Topical and ophthalmic forms deserve a separate note. Aciclovir cream is applied to the affected area several times a day and is not a substitute for oral treatment in a widespread or severe episode. Eye ointment is a sterile preparation: once opened it has a short in-use life, and the tube should never be shared or allowed to touch the eye surface.
