Vriligy 60MG (Dapoxetine)

Vriligy 60MG is Centurion Laboratories Private Limited's dapoxetine tablet, 60 mg, in a strip of 10 tablets. Dapoxetine is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) made for premature ejaculation and sold as Priligy.

Dapoxetine is prescribed for premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64, where ejaculation happens within about a minute of penetration or sooner than the man or his partner wants, and causes distress.

Serotonin in the brain and spinal cord slows the ejaculation reflex. Dapoxetine blocks serotonin reuptake, so serotonin stays active longer and ejaculation is delayed. Unlike antidepressant SSRIs it is absorbed within an hour and cleared within about a day, so it is taken only when needed and does not build up.

The usual starting dose is 30 mg, taken with a full glass of water one to three hours before sexual activity, and no more than once in 24 hours. If the effect is not enough and it is well tolerated, the doctor may raise it to 60 mg. Do not take it every day. Follow your prescription and the pack leaflet.

• Nausea, diarrhoea and dry mouth.n- Headache and dizziness, and fainting or light-headedness on standing.n- Tiredness, sleepiness or difficulty sleeping.n- Sweating, flushing and anxiety.n- Lower sexual desire or delayed ejaculation in some men.

Dapoxetine is not for men with heart disease, heart rhythm problems, moderate to severe liver or kidney impairment, or a history of mania or serious depression. It must not be combined with MAO inhibitors, thioridazine, other SSRIs or SNRIs, linezolid, tramadol or St John's wort, because of the risk of serotonin syndrome, and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors raise its level. It can cause fainting, so avoid driving or hazardous tasks until you know how it affects you, drink enough fluid, and sit or lie down at the first sign of dizziness. Alcohol increases the risk of dizziness and fainting. Stop and tell your doctor about low mood, suicidal thoughts or agitation.
