Signacafe Classic Oral Powder (Sildenafil)

Signacafe Classic Oral Powder is Signature Pharmaceutical's sildenafil powder, 100 mg, in a sachet of 7gm. Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, the first oral treatment for erectile dysfunction, sold as Viagra.

Sildenafil is prescribed for erectile dysfunction, meaning a man cannot get or keep an erection firm enough for intercourse. Under the name Revatio, at 20 mg, it is also used for pulmonary arterial hypertension.

During sexual stimulation the body releases nitric oxide, which raises cyclic GMP in the penis, relaxes the smooth muscle of its arteries and lets blood flow in. The enzyme PDE5 breaks cyclic GMP down. Sildenafil blocks PDE5, so the effect of stimulation lasts longer. Without stimulation there is no erection. It starts working in about 30 to 60 minutes and acts for roughly four to five hours.

The usual starting dose for erectile dysfunction is 50 mg, taken about an hour before sexual activity, with the dose lowered to 25 mg or raised to 100 mg depending on response and tolerance. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours. A heavy, fatty meal delays the effect. Jelly and sachet forms are taken the same way as tablets, on the same schedule. • Headache and flushing.n- Indigestion or heartburn.n- Stuffy or runny nose.n- Dizziness and, less often, low blood pressure.n- Back pain and muscle aches (most often with tadalafil).n- Temporary changes in colour vision or blurred sight (most often with sildenafil and vardenafil).n- An erection lasting more than four hours (priapism) is rare and needs emergency care.n- Sudden loss of vision or hearing is rare and needs immediate medical attention.

Never take it with nitrate medicines (glyceryl trinitrate, isosorbide) or riociguat, because the combined drop in blood pressure can be dangerous. It is not for men whose heart is too weak for sexual activity, after a recent stroke or heart attack, or with severe low blood pressure. Tell your doctor about alpha-blockers, other blood pressure tablets, severe liver or kidney disease, sickle cell disease, retinitis pigmentosa and any penile shape problem. Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ritonavir, ketoconazole, clarithromycin) and grapefruit raise the level, so the dose is lowered. These medicines work only with sexual stimulation and do not raise desire. Not for women or children unless prescribed for another condition.
